We get festive for charity

Staff from Western Power Distribution have got into the festive spirit by donating and decorating a major unit of the Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Park View, based in Moseley, assists children and adolescents with mental health difficulties.

“Many of our team has first-hand experience or knows someone who has been supported by Birmingham Children’s Hospital, so it is our way of giving something back,” said Carl Ketley-Lowe, WPD Team Manager for Birmingham South East.

“A lot of the young people will be spending Christmas in the unit, so we wanted to make it as enjoyable as possible for them,” Carl added.

Elinor Eustace, Corporate Partnerships Manager at Birmingham Children’s Hospital said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff from Western Power Distribution who took time out from their day jobs to decorate all three units at Park View with a Frozen-film makeover – it looks very festive indeed. Western Power Distribution has been fantastic supporters all year and it’s great to be able to finish the year on such a high.”
