Careers
We employ over 2,000 people across South West England and South and West Wales. Their skills are diverse, ranging from professional, clerical and administrative support roles to highly trained craftsmen working on our extensive electricity distribution network.
We are committed to recruiting young people as apprentices – over 140 have joined our training scheme since 2005 – and up to 40 new apprentices are taken on each year.
In addition we also train adult craftsmen, and in 2007 we started a specialist training scheme for existing staff and graduates to progress into technical roles.
We provide additional training for other businesses and organisations at our purpose-built training centre in Taunton which was expanded in 2008 following a £1.3m investment.
