Education
Education is one of the key strands of our community support programme in terms of promoting important safety messages to children.
We are actively involved with and a long-term financial supporter of the Crucial Crew and Junior Life Skills programmes which are organised for youngsters in conjunction with other emergency and essential services like fire, ambulance and police.
We have a dedicated Community Safety Adviser as well as a range of other staff available to give talks and demonstrations to youngsters about the dangers associated with electricity.
In the last year alone, essential advice and guidance was communicated to over 40,000 schoolchildren across South West England and South and West Wales.
Many of our leaflets and posters also feature Pylonman, WPD's very own safety character.
