Three cheers for support

Youngsters at the Stage Struck Theatre Group in Penzance have plenty to cheer about following a recent donation of some special costumes

The budding young actors will be the first in Cornwall to take part in Disney’s High School Musical Production after the theatre company was the first in the South West to obtain a licence to perform this show.

Thanks to financial support from local electricity company Western Power Distribution the group was able to purchase essential costumes of cheerleading outfits for the musical.

Judith Nicholls from Stage Struck said: ‘The donation of these great costumes just added to the excitement as we prepare for the show. Everyone involved is looking forward to the event and we feel very privileged to be one of the first to perform this production.’

The musical will take place at St Johns Hall from July 5- 7.
