Youngsters from Almondsbury Football Club under-7s and under-8s have won a new kit sponsorship with local electricity company Western Power Distribution (WPD).
Team coach Gary Andrews, who works for WPD in the Information Resources department, said: “The sponsorship is a real boost to the players, and I hope it will bring success to the teams.
“Because the youngsters are just beginning their football club playing, the matches are all ‘friendlies’, but next season the under-8s will be able to join the Hanham Minor League and are working hard to get a good placing.” added Gary.
The teams train at the Jubilee Centre, Bradley Stoke on Friday evenings and are always looking for new players. Anyone who is interested can go along on training night.
