Power Pack model new kit

Young players from wheelchair football team Power Pack joined forces with local electricity company Western Power Distribution recently to take delivery of their new kit sponsored by WPD.

Power Pack aims to provide many opportunities for young people with disabilities one of which is wheelchair football. Although based in Devon they would like to compete at National Football level but needed a team kit to unite and easily identify their team colours.

 

Tracy Morrison, whose son Robbie is in the team, and who works for WPD approached her employer to see if they could assist with the new kit and was delighted they could support the newly formed team. Tracy commented: “Finding activities for young people in wheelchairs is difficult enough but when you realise you then have to do a lot of fundraising for the specialist equipment they need to participate it can be quite daunting. The team feel really proud to wear their new kit and it makes them feel like a proper team at competitive matches.”
