Cracking collection by staff

For the fourth year running, colleagues from our Church Village office have collected Christmas presents for disadvantaged youngsters across Rhondda Cynon Taff (RCT) in South Wales.

A total of 58 gifts have been donated to the RCT Santa Appeal, which supports children in local authority care and low income families. Its annual appeal which called for gifts to donated for children who wouldn’t otherwise receive anything.

The gifts collected from Western Power Distribution’s Church Village office.

WPD’s Sheri Button, who helped co-ordinate the appeal, said: “This has become an office tradition, but this year we collected £1,160 - the most we’ve ever collected and we’re delighted with the result.

“Thanks to everyone digging deep, the children will be well looked after again this year.

“We were totally thrilled to see all the presents together in the office, before handing them over to the Appeal to ensure that Santa’s Helper can get them to the children in time, and we hope that they will bring smiles to lots of children’s faces.

“It’s a true demonstration from all that the spirit of Christmas – is still very much alive and well in Rhondda Cynon Taff.”
