Investing in Lincolnshire

This new initiative, which is due to start on May 30, 2017, involves the installation of around 370m of electricity cables between Bracebridge Heath and Waddington. This will help to further improve supply reliability to the Bracebridge Heath area.

“This investment will help to safeguard electricity supplies for both our existing and future customers in the area for years to come by improving the infrastructure and security of our network,” said David Humberstone, WPD Team Manager for the area.

The work is expected to take two and a half weeks to complete. During this time, traffic management will be in place to enable contractors to install the cables. During peak times the traffic lights will be manned to minimise disruption.

David added: “Our aim is to keep any disruption to an absolute minimum. We have been working with Lincolnshire County Council to minimise the inconvenience in the area. We have also been working to create temporary bus stops and we have informed RAF Waddington of the works.”
