Over the years, we’ve worked with homebuilders and developers, public and private companies, consultants, local authorities, energy consultants and contractors.
We have successfully completed gas and water connections for clients such as Redrow, Taylor Wimpey, Persimmon and Barratt Homes.
We also provide the same service to commercial and industrial customers including major projects. We have a specialist team that can provide knowledge and expertise within these fields.
New gas-connected homes at Talywain
Working for client Green Hill Construction Ltd, the project at Talywain near Pontypool incorporated expert scheme design and construction, and was completed on time and within agreed budgets.
This included laying around 100 metres of mains and ten service pipes which were then connected to an existing gas network.
Green Hill Construction Ltd’s Darran Watts was delighted with the service we provided.
“We knew we could depend upon them as Western Power Distribution has such an excellent reputation for electricity installation, project management and customer service. It was a logical step to turn to them for their expertise in gas.
“We were extremely satisfied with the quality of their service, which was absolutely first rate.”
New gas-connected homes at Caldicot
We were commissioned by Redrow Homes to connect gas to 109 new homes at Nedern Rise, Caldicot.
The first phase involved off-site works including connection to the gas main, the laying of 180 metres of gas pipe and the installation of services and meters to the show homes.
Huw Evans, Redrow’s Senior Projects Manager for the area, was pleased to have awarded the contract to Western Power Distribution.
“We are very satisfied with their performance. They are on site when required and they deliver on their promises, which is important to us.”
Ian Lawrence, WPD Utilities' Distribution Manager said: “Our success in the business of gas connections goes from strength to strength. Developers can rely on the excellent standards of service which they have come to expect when dealing with us.”
