Salary

Company sick pay scheme

Entitlements on an increasing scale to a maximum of 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay after 5 years’ service.

Annual leave entitlement

In addition to the usual public holiday, the annual leave entitlement is 26 days per year, unless they're an apprentice or Graduate, whose entitlement is 23 rising to 26 once training is complete and they are appointed a role.

Childcare voucher scheme

WPD has adopted the government led childcare voucher scheme whereby an employee may convert a proportion of their salary into vouchers to pay for childcare.

Equipment

As an employee of Western Power Distribution, any protective clothing or necessary safety equipment will be provided.

Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)

Employees, including members of the same household have the facility to use the services of the Company’s Employee Assistance Programme. The EAP is a life management and personal support service that can help you deal with both everyday situations and more serious problems.

Managed back care programme

The Managed Back Care Programme forms part of Western Power Distribution's overall approach to health support and attendance management and is free service to all employees. As a physiotherapy service, it is available to all employees to help manage a back related problem and prevent the development of spinal problems.
