We believe it is the responsibility of large organisations like ours to play a full and active role in the communities they serve.

At Western Power Distribution we have an impressive track record of helping the community in a charitable sense and contributing in a practical and realistic way to its development and economic prosperity.

The themes of our community support fall into three main areas, education, safety and the environment.

To qualify for support you must first check your group fall within our distribution area.

You can see a selection of community projects we've been supporting on our news pages.

Building on our established partnership with Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust, we recently commissioned the production of a video to capture just one of the projects we have supported during 2016.

The video captures the restoration of Lower Woods Nature Reserve near Yate in South Gloucestershire. One aspect of this project is the development of the green woodworking courses which provide training and volunteering opportunities for young people in the surrounding areas.

To hear more about the work and listen to some of the views of those involved please view the video below.
