OpenLV: Electricity networks & distributed intelligence webinar
Nov 17 2020 - Nov 17 2020
OpenLV is a three-and-a-half-year NIC project, managed by EA Technology and hosted by Western Power Distribution, that aimed to demonstrate the value of distributed intelligence on the local electricity networks and how community organisation, businesses and academia utilised the data that it made available to them. To celebrate the conclusion of this ground breaking project we are organising two free webinars to share learning.
In the first webinar, OpenLV: Electricity networks & distributed intelligence, we will be explaining the technical benefits of distributed intelligence platforms, such as the LV-CAP® technology trialled in this project. This webinar will explain the outcome of the network trial, when units were deployed and utilised in distribution substations, including how the technology was used for automated control of the network, and the arrangements that were put in place to ensure the cyber security of the platform.
