Festive cake bake is a great success!

Colleagues at a Cwmbran office hit upon the perfect recipe to raise cash for Tenovus Cancer Care by supporting the charity’s Jolly Jumper day.

Staff at our Cwmbran office whose home-made cakes and pastries raised funds for Tenovus Cancer Care Jolly Jumper Day.

As proud sponsors of the charity’s campaign, our staff joined in the festive fun by donning their festive jolly jumpers, while others baked delicious cakes and pastries.

Our Education Liason Officer, Ruth Adams, who helped organise the fundraising event said: “This is the second year running that WPD has sponsored the Tenovus Jolly Jumper Day campaign and we decided to join in the fun and help raise some cash at the same time.

Colleagues spent hours baking delicious home-made cakes and pastries which we sold at lunch time along with running a quiz and a raffle raising £260.

Everyone quickly got into the festive spirit and volunteered to help out. The result was just brilliant. Everything sold out very quickly. As soon as we’d placed them on the table they were gone - literally like hot cakes!”
