Snow interrupted activity

Snow interrupted a planned Forest School activity recently at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, but it did not get in the way of the children having fun!

Des Mycock an Engineering Specialist based in WPD’s Stoke Depot has a son and daughter at the school, went along to show the children how to use some of the tools donated by Western Power Distribution.

He explains: “I went along to join in one of the Forest School sessions but the snow put an end to any of those activities. The children were having great fun building a snowman so I helped them add some finishing touches and share a warm drink too.

Once the snow has cleared and we have some drier days, the forest school activities will take place on a regular basis. Having the right tools will make such difference to the range of activities the children can cover in the sessions, so I was delighted when WPD donated some funds to support the project.”

WPD provided woodcraft tools and fire safety equipment as seen in some of these images.
