Walking on the wild side

Children from St Dominic’s School in Saltash have been boosting wildlife habitats in their school garden thanks to support from Cornwall Wildlife Trust and Western Power Distribution (WPD).

WPD funded the workshops delivered by CWT’s junior section Fox Club Manager Kirstie Francis, she explains: “Working with local schools in this way can improve the habitats for many of our declining insect and bug species.

Giving the children the opportunity to build their own bug homes could inspire them to become involved with wildlife and hopefully become our conservationists of tomorrow.”
