We have been shortlisted for five awards at the 2020 Engage Awards

Our strong customer service performance at WPD has been recognised, featuring widely in the shortlist for a series of awards.

We have been shortlisted for five awards in the 2020 International Engage Awards with the winners due to be announced at a virtual awards ceremony on December 3.

Recognised by the industry as the only awards programme celebrating excellence in both customer and employee engagement, competition between businesses is always incredibly tough.

Fending off competition from dozens of other businesses from across the globe, we were the only electricity or gas distribution business to be shortlisted for the awards.

Following a rigorous judging process which saw its award entries scrutinised by a panel of industry experts, we have been shortlisted for Best Customer Contact Strategy in a Crisis, Best Customer Service Team, Best Use of Innovation in Customer Engagement, Best use of Technology in Customer Engagement and Best Use of Training.

WPD’s Contact Centre Manager Chris Griffiths said: “It is very pleasing for WPD to be formally recognised by peers in the shape of these awards and an accolade to all of the teams and colleagues involved.”
