This means making sure our network is ready to connect large numbers of low carbon technologies, including electric vehicles (EVs), heat pumps and renewable generation.

Our ground breaking innovation and digitalisation projects are also unlocking new ways of supporting a low carbon future, and helping to ensure that no customer is left behind in the transition to net zero, including those in vulnerable situations.

As a company, we are tackling our own Business Carbon Footprint through a range of measures, including the growing number of EVs in our vehicle fleet and improved energy efficiency across our offices and depots.

We are also working to minimise the impact of our operational activities on the environment and to boost biodiversity at major sites.

As part of our target to reduce waste, we recycle more than ever before and are continually working with suppliers and others to identify new ‘re-use and recycle’ opportunities.
