Cropwell Bishop

Work is due to take place on the electricity network in Cropwell Bishop for six weeks.

Starting on July 30, 2018 excavations will be carried out along Nottingham Road between the junction with Hoe View Road and the junction with Church Street, to enable new electricity cables to be installed.

In order for engineers to work safely, traffic management will be in place. This will include temporary traffic lights on Nottingham Road throughout the course of the works where parking restrictions will be in place. Additionally, weekend road closures are scheduled for four consecutive weekends from August 4, 2018.

Steve Hayward, Team Manager from WPD said: “In order to minimise disruption to residents and traffic in the area we’ve been liaising with Nottinghamshire County Council about the best time to do the works. We have also contacted residents who are likely to be affected to forewarn them about the work and apologise for any inconvenience it may cause.”
