Road closure in Brecon for electricity upgrade

Drivers in Brecon are being warned of potential journey disruption when work to improve the electricity network starts later this week.

The work is centred around Kensington from Watergate up towards The Avenue, with a road closure in place from Brecon Working Men’s Club to Kensington Car Park.

While the road is closed from Saturday 10 February until Sunday 18 February there will be a diversion. Also alternative access arrangements will be in place for residents and car park users.

The closure is needed so we can update our high voltage underground cables to cope with increasing demands on the network. We apologise for any inconvenience these essential works will cause.
