We get Bloodwise

We are lending our support to the first ever Bloodwise “Spring Walk” on Sunday 17 April.

Linesmen David Jones (left) and Mike Williams are pictured at the Goytre Wharf, on the Monmouthshire & Brecon canal where the Spring Walk will commence, with Bloodwise Regional Manager Rachael Davies.

The event, which will raise money for the blood cancer charity, will take walkers five miles through stunning scenery from Goytre Wharf to Llanover, along the beautiful Monmouthshire & Brecon canal.
Entry to the walk costs £6 for adults and £3 for children, with family tickets also available. All money raised goes directly towards the charity’s life-saving research and patient support services.

Rachael Davies, Regional Manager for Bloodwise said “We’re very grateful to Western Power Distribution for their support of this event. It’s important to us to work with local companies to raise awareness of blood cancers and to raise money for research. This is our first walk along the canal and we’re looking forward to the day. Everyone is welcome to join us, it’s really easy to sign up online or call the office to register.”

Corporate Communication Manager, Paul Bishop said: “We are pleased to support Bloodwise and we hope lots of people will sign up for this worthwhile event and have great fun - all for such a great cause.”
