Wildlife Watch Goes To School

Students at Bridge Learning Campus in South Bristol took their lessons outdoors
recently to do a spot of wildlife watching.

Tom James a Craftsman from WPD joined the students for their first session using a variety of techniques to hunt for bugs before releasing them again into the outdoors

Avon Wildlife Trust developed the first Wildlife Watch Club at the school with financial support from ourselves to encourage the students to explore nature over the dedicated five week course.

Tracy Carr from Western Power Distribution explained: "Living in a big city like Bristol, we can sometimes forget what nature we have right on our doorstepGiving students the confidence and knowledge to explore and record what they see will hopefully create some budding naturalists’ who will help protect the natural environment for the next generation.”
